Occupational Health and Safety
OHSAS 18001 was created via the concerted and combined effort from a number of the worlds leading national standards bodies, certification bodies, and specialist consultancy groups.
What Is OHSAS 18001?
The OHSAS specification gives requirements for an occupational health and safety management system, to enable an organisation to control its OH&S risks and improve its performance. It was developed to be compatible with both the ISO9001 and ISO14001 management systems standards
WHERE TO OBTAIN THE STANDARD
OHSAS 18001 (and in fact OHSAS 18002) actually form part of the OHSAS Toolkit. This includes not only the OHSAS 18001 and 18002 text, but a range of support materials, such as a safety manual and presentations.
